Research
Research Overview
My research agenda focuses on mathematics teachers’ understanding and use of students’ mathematics within their instructional practices. Currently, I am investigating the aspects of students’ mathematical thinking that teachers notice during classroom practice and how that student thinking influences the instructional decisions made by the teachers.

Teaching Overview
My teaching interests are centered on preparing and supporting K-12 mathematics teaching--including both prospective teachers and practicing teachers. I teach both content and pedagogy courses.
