Beverley Foulks is a professor of East Asia Religions in the Department of Philosophy and Religion at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from Stanford University in 1998, a Masters of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School in 2003, and a Ph.D. in East Asian Languages and Civilizations from Harvard University in 2009. She is originally from Durham, North Carolina and taught for a year as a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina Greensboro before joining the UNCW faculty in the fall of 2010.
