Research Overview
I have expressed interest in ongoing studies involving pathological processes and communicable disease transmission. I have focused on causes and strategies to reverse clinical inertia, a major barrier in providing optimum patient outcomes, primarily with hypertensive patients in a DNP quality improvement project. Stewardship of antibiotics and opioid analgesic treatment regimens is also of scholarly interest as I currently work in a provider capacity within a primary and urgent care environment. Another area of interest is in the prevention/resolution of workplace violence and incivility in nursing.
