From Machine Learning Models Mobile Health Applications: Designing and Implementing an Android-Based App for Cognitive Health in Older Adults Presentation uri icon

Description

  • Dr. Jeeyae Choi and her team presented their mobile app study, which is funded by the AY25-26 Corbet Grant Program: We designed and developed the Cognitive Health Tracking mobile app for older adults (aged 65 years and older) on both Android and iOS platforms. The app utilizes a logistic regression machine learning algorithm to predict users' cognitive decline status. This predictive model serves as the core algorithm of the Cognitive Health Tracking app and was developed using data from the National Health and Aging Trends Study (NHATS) 13 rounds.Currently, the Android version of the app is live, while the iOS version is in the final emulation and testing phase. We are prepared to begin participant recruitment for the study. This research is supported by the Corbett Grant. Team members:Donald Crawford, Susan Glose and Shamatree Shakya.
