Abstract
- Program alignment to professional standards ensures students gain competency-based skills that are transferable to the workplace environment. Employers continue to place greater value on these skills. Establishing a curriculum alignment to professional standards can assist with program annual evaluations as well as student learning outcomes and competencies. This paper focuses on the process taken to align a graduate-level Instructional Technology program curriculum to the AECT professional standards. Recommendations and suggestions for similar program planning to embark on a similar process and the next steps for this particular program are provided.
