  • This study examined whether deliberate math and science integration would enhance pre-kindergartners’ learning of mathematical and scientific skills/concepts. The preliminary findings of this study demonstrate that young children from low income backgrounds can be successful in attaining higher levels of competence in math and science when supported by teachers’ explicit and intentional instruction, purposeful content and quality materials and resources.
