This qualitative, collective case study draws on interview and focus group data from six Civics teachers in an area with a rapidly rising immigrant student population. Data analysis revealed that despite different teaching contexts and professional backgrounds, all participants prioritized rights, duties, and responsibilities as the cornerstone of their Civics instruction, yet took drastically different approaches to teaching about rights for immigrants and immigrant students.
