  • The present study explored scale concepts of inservice and preservice teachers from three countries, Austria, Taiwan, and the United States. The following research questions were explored: 1) Do teachers from Austria, Taiwan, and the United States differ in their knowledge of spatial scale? 2) Do novice and experienced science teachers’ from Austria, Taiwan, and the United States accuracy of scale concepts differ? 3) Are there differences in teachers reported in- and out-of-school experiences learning concepts of scale?
