Overview
Description
Daniel Alarcón identifies himself as 100% Peruvian and 100% American. Alarcón’s texts interpret a Peruvian reality steeped in its conflictive past and a struggling present. Alarcon’s texts, just like him, are a representation of the transnational identity of many US Latino authors who despite a formation in the United States, have taken on a transnational role to bring the Latin American reality to the Americans; not the exotic or the magical reality rather the
gritty reality that represents Peru.
