Abstract
A random sample of employees was surveyed to explore the differences between effective and ineffective plateauees. The results indicated that effective plateauees perceived stronger productivity propensity and person-job fit compared to ineffective plateauees. The study also showed that career plateauing can be due to organizational and personal reasons. Based on the results, several managerial implications were suggested to prevent the onset of career plateauing and prevent plateauees from becoming ineffective.
