Abstract
- This volume emerges at a time of many challenges facing higher education and individuals holding marginalized identities creating uncertainty for the future. We acknowledge that, at times, it can seem overwhelming and the challenges too many to overcome. We also recognize that there are some challenges at our institutions that have been ongoing and are perpetuated because of the approaches traditionally used to address those challenges. However, we remain hopeful and believe this volume provides new perspectives on our work in student affairs and higher education that can create positive change at our institutions and with the individuals we work with. This volume provides innovative approaches to affect change where we can within our institutions.
