A Hybrid Cross Dock (HCD) facility provides an option for a company to store inventory for a period of time without incurring inventory holding costs. The objective of this research is to provide a near-optimal or an optimal solution that minimizes the total logistics and inventory related costs and obtain several managerial insights. We analyze how the cost free storage days affect inbound and outbound transportation, and inventory decisions.
