Courtney Townsend is the Ed Lab Coach in the Betty Holden Stike Education Laboratory in the Watson College of Education at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. She provides preservice teachers one-on-one coaching to assist in the development of their craft, their confidence, and their ability to execute and adapt lesson plans. Before joining the University, she taught K-5 for 10 years and had experience teaching K-12 in Zaragoza, Spain. Courtney Townsend also runs the Future Teacher Career Academy, a unique collaboration with Isaac Bear Early College.
