Theresa’s courses focus on the modern Middle East, states of the Persian Gulf and legacies of colonialism in portions of the developing world. She established the first English curriculum for a private school in Bahrain where she lived for several years. Theresa has also worked with ESL, citizenship, and refugee resettlement programs in Colorado, serving populations from Africa, the Middle East, and former Soviet Union. Having so far traveled to over 50 countries, she’s working on a longer list to still visit.

Teaching Overview

  • Teaching interests are primary concentrated in online pedagogy and best practices. Theresa has earned a Online Teaching Essential Certification from UNCW and a Teaching Online Certification from Quality Matters. She also continues to serve as a Quality Matters Higher Ed Peer Reviewer.
