This presentation will highlight adventure learning across grade levels and disciplines with emphasis on authentic, developmentally appropriate issues and students' development of practical solutions. Specific strategies and resources developed through the Beautiful Nation Project circumnavigation project (http://www.beautifulnationproject.org/) will frame our discussion of how to empower K-12 students to become conscientious and engaged changemakers locally and globally. Attendees will practice mapping a sample adventure learning lesson plan for adaptation and implementation in their respective contexts.
