Abstract

  • This article will provide findings about aging knowledge gained by HPPAE students during the three year demonstration phase. Pre and post-test comparisons as measured by Palmore’s Facts on Aging Quiz are provided and educational variables are examined to understand their relationship to knowledge outcomes. A comparison is made between students in the aging enriched field program who had taken aging coursework and those who had not. Recommendations about delivery of content on aging are provided. The article contributes to the evidence-based literature on knowledge gains through mixed didactic and non-didactic experiences.
