Rational number understanding is key to the Common Core Standards. During this session, participants will consider ways to develop rational number sense with their students through activities that focus on the meaning of the numerator and denominator (creating fraction strips), comparing and ordering fractions (fraction clothesline), and using equivalent fractions to add and subtract (fraction tracks game).
