  • This presentation describes a hermeneutic phenomenological study completed for the purpose of understanding the experience of developing as a scholarly writer. Using the uncovered experience, the researchers identified a variety of pedagogical approaches that can be used by faculty teaching at all levels of nursing education to facilitate scholarly writer development. These strategies can be combined to establish a comprehensive support system that will ensure that nursing program graduates are prepared to advance the science of nursing through scholarly writing.
