Introduced the movie The Help by providing a scholarly assessment of the film's lack of engagement with critical issues about race, opportunities for black actors, and the implications surrounding those issues. Also, I did a close reading of the film style for the audience in order to enrich their viewing experienece. Dr. Bertha Todd also discussed her book, Meet the Help, and the ways that it addresses cultural issues raised by the film.
