examines the experiences of two professors—one black, one white—located at two southern institutions of higher education using a critical multicultural approach in their social foundations classrooms. In collaboration with 6 of our students, we examine the challenges and successes in overcoming resistance and encouraging student (and our own) informed engagement in teaching and learning within a multicultural framework.
