Abstract
- This project advances two integrated scholarly goals. First, it conducts a systematic computational analysis of approximately 600–700 empirical studies on translanguaging in English Learner instruction, examining how translanguaging is operationalized in the literature and how research claims align with reported outcome measures. Second, the project supports revision and resubmission of an NSF CAREER proposal to the Science of Science program by incorporating preliminary results from the translanguaging analysis and addressing prior reviewer feedback through theoretical reframing, methodological strengthening, and use of a GraphRAG/knowledge graph framework. The project is expected to produce a revised NSF CAREER submission by July 2026 and a peer-reviewed manuscript by October 2026.
