Several studies have demonstrated that the percentage of older adults using marijuana is increasing. Given that older adults are already at increased risk of adverse effects from their prescription and over the counter medications combined with the physiologic effects of aging and multi-comorbidities, adding marijuana to their drug regimen has the potential to significantly increase risks of harm.
