Abstract

  • This paper raises the question of how Artificial Intelligence (AI) should be integrated into the Information Systems (IS) curriculum and the overall business school curriculum. There is an ongoing discussion in the wider academic community as to how AI should be integrated across academic disciplines and the wider community of the university. This paper focuses on the IS curriculum in the context of the business school curriculum. This paper takes the position that a foundational course focusing on AI literacy and fundamentals is the most effective approach to introducing AI into the business curriculum. The IS area would lead the way in development of this course and provide strategic direction for the broader business curriculum.
