Directed Measure for Measure with Riot Grrrls, a women-centered performance initiative connected to the University of North Carolina Wilmington Department of Theatre. The production approached Shakespeare’s play through a contemporary lens while retaining the original text, emphasizing themes of gender, power, justice, and bodily autonomy. Integrating live music, ensemble-driven staging, and performance-based textual exploration, the production created opportunities for student artists to engage deeply with Shakespearean language while developing collaborative creative practices and socially engaged performance work.
