In one prelicensure nursing program, IVR was introduced to 60 students in a simulation learning center. Through this process, protocols were developed, and educators gained valuable insights into using IVR with new users. Students began with orientation scenarios, followed by patient simulations using headsets and ghost participation, guided by facilitators via software. These scenarios focused on medication administration and clinical judgment.
