Description
The Leadership Fellows Academy (LFA) is a transformational, cohort learning experience for executive directors, owners, and board chairs of peer-operated mental health and substance use nonprofit organizations. In state-based cohorts of 15 – 22 participants, the Fellows engage in an 8-month capacity building program that includes in-person and online training. The first paper to be presented in this panel will provide an overview of the history and development of LFA and present the results of the program evaluations. This paper sets the stage for the subsequent two papers that address research questions that arose from our interaction with the Fellows.
