Abstract
This evaluation aimed to satisfy the United States Department of Agriculture’s Final Rule triennial assessment of McLean County Unit District No. 5’s compliance with wellness policy requirements. This assessment evaluates the district’s compliance with the wellness policy, monitors how well the policy compares to model wellness policies, and identifies the progress made in attaining the policy goals. This report was prepared in collaboration with Unit administrators, teachers, staff, and a team of university-based researchers. The evaluation also aims to identify strengths, weaknesses, and actionable areas for improvement in district- and school-specific physical activity and food environments.
