Abstract
This evaluation aimed to satisfy the United States Department of Agriculture's Final Rule triennial assessment of Bloomington Public Schools District 87's compliance with wellness policy requirements. This assessment evaluates the district's compliance with thewellness policy, monitors how well the policy compares to model wellness policies, andidentifies progress made in attaining the policy goals. This report was prepared in collaboration with District 87 administrators, teachers, staff, and a team of university-based researchers (District 87 Wellness Collaborative) in an ongoing project designed to formally evaluate the school wellness environments and opportunities. The project also aims to identify strengths, weaknesses, and actionable areas for improvement in district- and school-specific physical activity and food environments.
