Abstract
- This paper introduces an innovative system designed to detect and jam unauthorized wireless communications utilizing Radio Frequency Software Defined Radio (RF-SDR) technology. The system is comprised of two primary components: TransmitterReceiver (Trx) units and a Central Unit. These components operate collaboratively to monitor, analyze, and disrupt unauthorized signals. The Trx units identify sudden increases in signal power, which are flagged as anomalies and reported to the Central Unit. The Central Unit then triangulates the source of the unauthorized communication. Once identified, the system employs directional antennas to emit jamming signals, effectively disrupting the unauthorized communication. The jamming signals are generated using GNU Radio Companion and have been tested using a Verizon cell phone. Prototype testing demonstrated the system’s ability to detect, locate, and successfully jam unauthorized signals. This system presents a viable solution for securing environments where wireless communications are restricted, by preventing unauthorized access and protecting sensitive information.
