Abstract
Mobile financial systems have revolutionized access to banking and financial services, particularly in developing regions. However, the rapid adoption of these technologies has also exposed users to a range of cybersecurity threats, including advanced malware, exploitation of app vulnerabilities, and attacks tailored to specific regional vulnerabilities. This paper examines the evolving landscape of mobile financial system threats, focusing on emerging trends such as phishing attacks, mobile ransomware, and region-specific attacks that exploit local financial practices and regulatory gaps.
