Description
The purpose of this paper is to present empirical research that is focused towards Botswana community-youth compatible strategies on entrepreneurship sustainability. A surge of youth is observed participating in entrepreneurship practices that could either be on formal or informal settings. It is important that their efforts are acknowledged and nurtured to enhance their contribution to the sustainable development goals. This paper acknowledges the fact that youth-entrepreneurship involves one’s capacity and willingness to be involved in the organisation and management of some business activities along with associated risks in order to make sustainable profit. This study is aimed at unearthing the dynamics surrounding the participation of youth-entrepreneurs within the rural communities. This ongoing research study is qualitative in context. Data is collected through face to face semi-structured interviews with 10 youth entrepreneurs and 10 participants from community and support institutions that are purposively selected in Molepolole and Thamaga villages. Content and manual analysis is expected to establish the milieu in which the youth-entrepreneurs are exposed and will recommend the preferred or ideal environment for possible youth-entrepreneurship development.
