Description
The rapid emergence of generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools like ChatGPT has sparked excitement and concern in management education. While these technologies offer unprecedented opportunities to enhance learning experiences and prepare students for an AI-driven business landscape, they also raise critical questions about academic integrity, skill development, and the future role of educators. This Professional Development Workshop (PDW) aims to explore the implications of generative AI in education and provide participants with practical strategies for its effective integration. Drawing on recent empirical studies and experiences from diverse academic settings, this workshop will address three key areas: Student Perceptions and Adoption: We will examine factors influencing students' engagement with generative AI tools, including perceived usefulness, ease of use, and goal orientation. Insights from quantitative and qualitative studies will illuminate how students view these technologies and their impact on learning outcomes. Organizational Readiness: Recognizing that successful AI integration requires institutional preparedness, we will discuss frameworks for assessing and enhancing business schools' readiness across key dimensions: People, Process, Technology, and Data. Pedagogical Innovations: Participants will explore innovative approaches to using generative AI in management education, including its use in experiential learning, case studies, ethical decision-making, and business courses.
