Description
- The level of fish discards is an important parameter in the management of many fisheries, including the snapper-grouper fishery in the South Atlantic region of the U.S. Estimates of discard rates are often unreliable and difficult to verify. The use of incentive mechanism design may enable better estimation of discard rates at lower cost.
