Abstract
The objective is to facilitate the mutual transfer of knowledge, teaching methods, and the latest advancements in robotics, remote sensing, computer science, cyber security, and intelligent systems engineering (ISE), promoting creativity, cooperation, and innovation among students and faculty. The collaboration will involve several key activities and outcomes, including a visit to each other’s universities by representatives to learn about their experiences and expertise, creating opportunities for networking and collaboration among researchers, academics, and students in related fields, proposing changes to the existing curricula at both universities based on insights gained from each other, and forming joint student teams to facilitate knowledge exchange and potential joint projects and exchange programs. UNCW’s well-established computer science and cyber security programs, and its newly established and very promising intelligent systems engineering program, the first in North Carolina and the second in the United States, with an assortment of experienced professors and researchers, will contribute significantly to the partnership’s success. We are excited about the potential of this partnership and look forward to working together to achieve our common goals. Additionally, we are in contact with two professors at UNCW: Dr. Ahmed ElSaid, from the ISE program and specialized in ML, and Dr. Hosam Alamlah, from the Cyber Security program and specialized in cyber-physical systems security and computer networks, to plan for this coordination.
