Abstract
- Location-based services are widely used today. The huge growth of location-based services is enabled by the growth of the usage of mobile devices. Moreover, these devices can sense several types of signals over the air using different radio frequency technologies (e.g., Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular signals, GPS satellites, etc.). Thus, they can calculate their location using any of the previously mentioned technology. Some applications use location generated by mobile devices as a factor in receiving services. These are known as location-based services. We believe that the location generated by mobile devices can be utilized for the purpose of continuous authentication. In this paper, we propose an architecture for continuous location-based authentication utilizing location data generated by mobile devices. Then, we present an experiment to test the proposed architecture.
