Abstract
- Teacher educators will find the blend of Squeak, problem-based learning, and standards-based curriculum design developed by the USeIT Project useful as a basis for differentiating specific information technology (IT) professional development activities. The USeIT Project provides educators with ideas about using technology to teach math and science state standards. In addition, teachers can use these ideas to implement problem-based learning in the classroom. Teachers and teacher educators alike can also use USeIT Project ideas to prepare students with both the technological skills and the intellectual flexibility to make sense of STEM challenges and to meet the demands of the 21st century.
