  • This workshop is intended for CS educators with no practical experience of Grid computing to gain hands-on experience for designing an undergraduate Grid computing course. Participants will access a Grid computing platform consisting of computer systems at University of North Carolina Charlotte and University of North Carolina Wilmington through a production-style portal, the command line, and through the GridNexus graphical workflow editor. Each participant will receive a copy of a new Grid computing course textbook. Comprehensive additional materials for your own course are provided at http://www.cs.uncc.edu/~abw/ gridcourse/index.html. Laptop: Required with Java 1.5+. Additional software will be installed during the workshop.
