  • The purpose of the study was to identify the factors that provided barriers as well as assistance to students pursuing a degree in health professions and to suggest strategies for helping them to be better prepared to face unforeseeable challenges, make smooth transitions, and learn how to respond to any future emergency or health crisis when they enter the healthcare workforce.

    The study focused on the following issues:
    1.Factors impacting learning as a result of the emergency transition caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. 2. Level of difficulty perceived by the students in the emergency transition during the early pandemic. 3.Barriers and facilitations related to the students’ emergency transition during the early pandemic. 4.Differences between the perceptions of students enrolled in online versus face-to-face course delivery.
