Higher education courses have been traditionally delivered in a synchronous, face-to-face format. Advancements in the development of educational technologies have made it effective to offer more asynchronous and synchronous online courses. Therefore, it is critical for faculty and administrators to be aware of student perceptions and concerns about both face-to-face and online learning environments. Understanding student perceptions will help faculty to better design courses in both formats to meet students’ learning needs. Purpose: • To identify student perspectives on both online and face-to-face learning during the COVID-19 pandemic; • To compare any differences in student satisfaction and learning outcomes among health profession students; and • To discuss implications for future development of courses in healthcare administration programs.
