Description
Sharing research data publicly beyond just the results discussed in a scholarly publication can drastically increase the reproducibility and reusability of your research for others, as well as fulfill funding agency or journal requirements for data sharing. However, business research is rife with expensive and limited dataset usage, which makes data sharing seem impossible. This session will provide an overview of how to responsibly share datasets pertinent to business research. It will adhere data sharing techniques to the FAIR data principles, explain data use agreements and copyright for proprietary or restricted datasets, and introduce business data repositories, which can be used to preserve and provide public or limited access to research datasets, code, and other documentation.
