⁻Mental Health: attendees should be able to identify what mental health is and is not⁻Depression: attendees should be able to identify the difference between depression and sadness⁻Anxiety: attendees should be able to identify the difference between "normal" anxiety and clinical anxiety (when to refer)⁻Stress: attendees should be able to identify the difference between eustress and distress ⁻Wellness coach scope of practice for mental health, what you can and can't do as a health coach.⁻Attendees should be able to identify aspects of how fitness plays a role in mental health (depression & anxiety)⁻Defining fitness: fitness does not have to be "exercise" ⁻Attendees should be able to identify how the impact of diet can affect mental health (we are not talking about eating disorders)⁻Attendees should be able to identify the precursors (signs and symptoms) of stress, anxiety and depression (DASS-21) and how to refer. ⁻Attendees should be able to indicate the appropriate applications of diet and fitness within the scope of practice of a wellness coach.
