In an uncertain economic landscape, there is an increased need for non-traditional income opportunities. One such alternative is the establishment of a micro-business to be run in addition to an individual’s primary job or school responsibilities. Whether it’s opening an Etsy shop or participating in the gig economy, sidepreneurship provides myriad benefits to proprietors. For all their advantages, micro-enterprises also face unique challenges that diverge from conventional small business support provided by libraries.
