State-Wide Networking to Improve the Face of Gerontology Globally: Lessons from Indiana’s InterCollege Council on Aging
Presentation
Overview
Overview
Description
In this presentation we share strengths and challenges faced by the Indiana Intercollege Council on Aging, offering suggestions for others interested in creating a local network of gerontologists. As gerontology continues to strive to “get legs” (Burdick, AGHExchange, Winter 2011), sharing practices that facilitate gerontology education and practice remains a vital step to accomplishing that goal. The lessons shared in this presentation may help gerontologists from a variety of geographic settings identify means of collaborating with one another.
