State-Wide Networking to Improve the Face of Gerontology Globally: Lessons from Indiana’s InterCollege Council on Aging Presentation uri icon

Description

  • In this presentation we share strengths and challenges faced by the Indiana Intercollege Council on Aging, offering suggestions for others interested in creating a local network of gerontologists. As gerontology continues to strive to “get legs” (Burdick, AGHExchange, Winter 2011), sharing practices that facilitate gerontology education and practice remains a vital step to accomplishing that goal. The lessons shared in this presentation may help gerontologists from a variety of geographic settings identify means of collaborating with one another.
