There is a need for a well-educated general population in terms of understanding aging, but there are lots of things we want college graduates to know, and there is increasing pressure from licensing bodies for college program to meet specific disciplinary competencies (plus, interprofessional education, community engagement, service learning, internships/practicums, etc.) To facilitate students studying aging, creating courses to meet general education requirements can enhance enrollment.
