Abstract
- While gerontology as a field of study continues to strive toward the status of an independent discipline, individual gerontology programs are repeatedly faced with setbacks that challenge (or eliminate) their very existence. What can we do to help our programs “get legs” (Burdick, 2011) then stand on those legs and walk across campus and the community recruiting students and setting them off on viable career paths in the field of aging?
