Description

  • This was supposed to be a 6 hour pre-conference presentation, but we were unable to present due to COVID-19.
This pre-conference presentation will describe a mobile simulation program as part of a regional model that provides scalable and tailorable continuing education to a diverse group of healthcare service providers, from rural critical access hospitals to major health systems. Participants will learn about mobile simulation delivery models supporting continuing education and the process for designing and implementing mobile simulation, integrating perspectives from simulation facilitators and hospital nurse educators. Participants will have the opportunity to tour a mobile simulation unit, design solutions to meet regional healthcare needs through on-site training, and design simulation scenarios for implementation in their practice settings. This classroom presentation and tour will benefit 50-60 nurse educators, healthcare providers, and nurses with interest in regional mobile simulation models for providing continuing education.
