In this paper, the authors present an experiment to evaluate the influence of anthropometric fidelity of a self-avatar on reachability and reach boundary estimation, and how this process is influenced by visuomotor calibration. For each reaching trial, participants were asked to 1) verbally judge the reachability of the target, and reach for it while closing their eyes if they estimated they could read it, 2) verbally judge the reachability of the target and reach for it with open eyes, and 3) repeat the task as in 1). Authors also measured the reach envelope of each participant to identify whether their verbal judgments were correct or not.
