In Spring 2018, Research and Instructional Services librarians at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW) inaugurated an Information Literacy Faculty Fellows program, a six-week workshop series on the Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education. The purpose of the Fellows program is to embed the Framework across the curriculum at UNCW by training a core group of faculty, instructors, and librarians, developing a cross-disciplinary community of practice that can share ideas for assignments, teaching techniques, and assessment methods that integrate the Frameworkâs concepts. In this column, we will describe our goals, process, outcomes, and future plans for the program.
