Unpaid family caregivers provide a wide range of care and services for older people living in their own homes. The aim of this study was to describe how and to what extent, family caregivers continue in their care giving roles when their older family members are admitted to the hospital. Family caregivers participate in a wide range of care activities during hospitalization, which can positively impact care and patient satisfaction.
