Interprofessional Team to Advance Complementary Therapies for COPD Presentation uri icon

Description

  • Current traditional therapies for COPD have included medications, which are known to cause deleterious side effects and surgery which can be risky and invasive for the patient. Complementary therapies such as yoga, tai chi, meditation, and a device called the lung flute have shown promise. A goal of the current project is to explore the feasibility and usability of an innovative device called the Easy Breather that is designed to facilitate breathing in patients with COPD.
